A man that is waiting in the hospital emergency room for over 80 minutes died when three homeless drug addicts came and stole his watch away and instead of helping him.
The man’s name is Joaquin Rivera. Joaquin, a 63 years old man, died before the triage nurse from Atria Health’s Frankford Campus arrive at the emergency room.
Joaquin Rivera used to work as a musician and activist at the Latino community. He served as a bilingual counselor at an inner-city high school.
The scene of the three thieves that stole Joaquin’s watch was caught on a security videotape. Joaquin’s case is very similar with the case of Esmin Green when the workers at Kings County Hospital did not pay attention to her need. Esmin Green’s family recently won the lawsuit against the city and settle down for $2 millions.
Joaquin Rivera was pronounced dead at 12:04 a.m. Aria Health has offered their comfort and sympathy to the family and friends of Joaquin Rivera. There is a criminal case pending.
