A circus elephant escaped and was hit by a sport utility vehicle in a place located northwest of Oklahoma.
According to the spokesman of Oklahoma State University, the elephants suffer minor injuries and are being treated by the veterinarians at the school. The elephant will soon be discharged to its owner. The two people in the sport utility vehicle that hit the elephant were not injured.
The report of Erid police says that the owner of the circus elephant is Douglas Terranova from Kaufman, Texas. Douglas did not replied the phone message on Friday.
A volunteer had filed a complaint against Douglas to the U.S. Department of Agriculture regarding the incident that occurred on Wednesday.
