Aderall is a central nervous system stimulant according to drugs.com. Adderall affects the chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. Aderall is used to treat narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but it also used by some college students to stimulate their brains and increase awareness.

Aderall has many potential dangers and side effects. According to emedtv.com based on the studies of Adderall XR (a long-acting version of Adderall), the common side effects are Loss of appetite (anorexia), Dry mouth, Insomnia, Abdominal pain, Weight loss, Emotional changes, Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Diarrhea, Asthenia, tachycardia, Urinary Tract Infection (UTI, Fever and Heartburn.
