Due to a series of cyberattack aimed at Chinese human rights activists gmail account, Google issued a warning that they will shut down the China Google search engine if the attack persist.
According to Google, they detected a massive amount of cyberattack that is targeted on the corporate infrastructure in China. The primary goals of these attackers are to hack into the Gmail accounts of the Chinese human rights activists. It is estimated that about 20 large companies were also targeted. Google is currently informing those companies. They are also working with the U.S. authorities to take action against this cyberattack. In addition, Google had increase the security of his infrastructure so that it is not prone to any attacks.
Google said that it will no longer produce censoring result for the Chinese Google search engine. If this is so, Google will shut down its Chinese site as well as the offices in the country.
This is a sad news. Google China will be really affected it this is true.
