A young Somali pirate will face trial on Wednesday because of a medical report that prove he is older than 18 years old.
The Somali pirate was taken into custody for hijacking a Spanish fishing boat. Two Somalis had been arrested after the pirates took over the tuna boat Alakrana in October 2. The two Somalis also had taken hostage 36 crews that were on board the boat.
The pirates are still on the boat and do not wish to discuss the release of the crews unless the authorities freed the comrades.
The Spanish court had decided to transfer him to the juvenile court when initial test of samples taken from his wrist suggest he is younger than 18 years old.
