The man who shot the abortion doctor George Tiller will face trial on Monday. Scott Roeder is charged with a first degree murder of George Tiller. Scott Roeder was responsible for shooting George Tiller in his Kansas church on May 31.
Recently, doctors that perform abortion were targeted by people from anti-abortion groups. George Tiller was nicknamed “Tiller the baby killer”.
Terry O’ Neill from the pro-choice National Organization for Women (NOW) said that the death of George Tiller serves as a warning to other abortion doctors. Terry O’ Neill told AFP that Scott Roeder’s murder is also aimed at other doctors. Scott Roeder’s murder is a form of terrorism to threatened other doctors that perform abortion.
During the interview inside the jail, Scott Roeder admitted that he gunned down George Tiller but he pleaded not guilty because what he did was to protect the lives of other unborn babies.
