Power Restored To Some California Homes

After an earthquake that registered at 6.5 on the Richter scale hit Eureka, California, the people are doing their best to clean up the damages.

The spokesman for Pacific Gas and Electric Co, David Eisenhower said that about 28,000 customers are having no electricity at home because of the earthquake. Most of the power outages occurred in the Humboldt County.

At 11.30p.m., the electricity was restored to the 22,000 customers. The power should be restored to other 6000 customers by early Sunday.

The main earthquake that occurred in California also brought a number of aftershocks. Each of the aftershock earthquakes measured at 4.5 on the Richter scale. The earthquake is not a warning to a coming tsunami and no damage was found to any building.

No one had suffered any serious injuries although there are many people that suffered from mild bruises, cuts, scrapes and bumps. One person was reported to have broken hips due to the earthquake.
